You have 3 options if you travel independently and want to get from the airport to the hotel: 1. You may hire a car at the airport or book one in advance to be delivered at the airport. We can help you with making a reservation if you need. 2. You may take a taxi from the airport all the way to the hotel, which costs approximately €70 (one way). 3. You may ask the taxi to get you to the port of Argostoli which costs around € 20, embark on the ferry on foot and then either walk or take a local taxi in Lixouri for the final 850 m to the hotel. The distance is easily walkable by a fit person since it’s flat and straight, but mind the hot sun! Once out of the ferry, walk straight along the pier and then turn left and walk along the seafront until you find a corner building (that’s the Port Police), where a narrow pedestrianised lane begins on the side of a big parking lot. Take that lane and you will face Hotel Summery in just a minute. ### Is breakfast included in the price? Breakfast is optional and not included in the price. Guests may choose between a 3-course, set breakfast menu, which costs €12 per person, it is different every day and it needs to be ordered the night before at the reception, or they may select items of their preference from the à la carte menu of our Brunch Restaurant, which doesn’t require prior ordering. ### What is the environmental tax? The environmental tax is a government tax which aims at funding special measures against the environmental crisis. It is a € 5 tax per room, per day, it is not included in the price, and it has be paid locally upon arrival, preferably by cash since the money goes directly to the Greek State. ### How can I make a reservation? You may send your booking inquiry through our website, by calling our telephone center on +30 2671 091771, or via SMS, WhatsApp or Viber on +30 698 598 0035. For prepaid bookings, 100% of the booking charge is required at the time of booking. For standard bookings, payment in advance for 1 night is required for up to 3 nights stays, and 30% of the amount for more than 3 nights stays. ### What is the hotel’s cancellation policy? In case of cancelling a prepaid booking, no returns are made. In case of cancelling a standard booking up to 14 days before arrival 100% of the amount is returned, while in any other case you will be charged for 1 night (for accommodations that are up to 3 days long) or 30% of the booking sum (for stays that are over 3 days long). ### Is it possible to arrange transport from & to the airport? Through our reception you may book daily excursions, daily cruises and other activities such as: horseback lessons and riding excursions, scuba diving, parachuting, Jeep safari, kayaking, hiking, caving, nature tours, coasteering, canoe, yoga lessons. ### Is there any public transportation? The ferry boat line that connects Lixouri to Argostoli runs every day year round, with an extended timetable during the summer months. During the summer period buses leave Lixouri towards beaches and villages in the area. There are additional bus itineraries leaving the Argostoli bus station. All schedules are modifiable, so it is advisable to verify them before you make any plans. Single Adult: € 3,50 (a booklet of 10 adult tickets costs € 25,00 and can be used any time) Children: €1,80 Car with its driver: € 7,00 € (a booklet of 5 car tickets costs € 25,00 and can be used any time) Motocycle: € 2,00 ### How often does the ferry run? The ferry runs every half an hour during the summer months or on the hour in the beginning and end of the season (the schedule changes often so verifying it is always a good idea, especially if you have an airplane to catch). TIP: If you traveling with a suitcase you don’t have to carry it up the stairs with you, since it cannot be stolen while on the ferry. Do as the locals do and leave your luggage near the entrance. This way you will get out faster once in Lixouri. ### How does a taxi ride cost? Yes, pets are welcome to our hotel as long as they do not cause damages and they do not disturb neighbouring guests. ### Is smoking/vaping allowed? Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the rooms (including balconies). They are also not allowed in the hotel’s common areas and the veranda.
